Morning Pages

The morning pages have become somewhat like an old comfortable friend. Each morning, I make my tea and sit outside on my beautiful deck, overlooking the grandeur of Haiku and the grace and beauty of the steady moving ocean. Some mornings, I am angry or tense, still dealing with the ending of my relationship and finding my way into my new life. Other days, I already start out inspired and become more inspired.

At the end of the three pages ~ no matter what my frame of mind and emotion when I began ~ I am always better off and feeling more resolved about my day, about myself, about my life.

There's really something magical about unloading it all onto paper when you first wake up. It's like taking out the garbage first thing in the morning and having a clean house the rest of the day.

It's a place to spill out your hopes, dreams and wishes ~ and to inspire yourself to reach those somehow, buy a plan or by the Grace of God, or a little of both.

Anyone else have anything to say about their morning writing? Please share your thoughts...

Our new group is awesome!

Aloha All,

Just want to say that all day I have been feeling really honored to be a part of such an amazing group of people, all gathered together in the Temple of Peace, finding our groove.

Courtney has written extensively about the Artist's Date ~ a good read. She has given me permission to post. Also, she has a friend in Wailea who makes hats...who needs help on Thursday's. Since cut and paste doesn't seem to work in the blog, I will try to find another way. Maybe I will just forward her email to everyone

Any suggestions? Anyone know how to cut and paste onto a blog? Is there some magic to it?

Maui Artist's Way ~ New Cluster this Friday!

Wow! So far, there are 18 people on the list! Of course, not everyone is confirmed, but there are still calls and email inquiries coming in.

I'm very organized this go-around and have lots of great hand-outs and am ready for a very successful 12-week series for all!

As with the last series, we had some people who joined in around the 2nd and 3rd classes. If we have a very large group, I may decide to hold a separate class. In fact, there are a few people who can't make it on Friday's, but CAN make it Monday's...so there could be a Monday class in the works.

For those of you coming for sure, it's never too early to begin reading up through Week 1 if you already have the book.

I have about 6 copies of the book left for purchase at the first class, as well as some cute journals I scooped up at Ross for only $4 ~ $5 each. I think I have 8 of them or so.

OK...well, looking forward to Friday!

See ya then...

Aloha,

Welcome Maui Artist's

Aloha,

Welcome to the new Artist's Way series! I decided to add a blog so that we can support eachother during the week, share ideas and enrich our experience together. Please feel free to pass this blog along to anyone you think might be inspired or interested in our process.

I am looking forward to a powerful 12 weeks, full of interaction, growth and creativity!

With Sincere Blesssings,
Dawn Elizabeth
